Day 1: Pyramids of the Sun and Moon + City Tour

Morning Visit to Moche Valley

The tour starts at 9:00 am in the picturesque Moche Valley, home to the ancient pyramids built by the Mochica civilization. We will explore inside the Pyramid of the Moon, visiting its different sectors and admiring the impressive polychrome friezes that reveal the worldview of this ancient culture from Peru’s northern coast.

Afternoon City Tour

After lunch, we will take a city tour to discover colonial mansions, palaces, the cathedral, main square, and other historic landmarks of the city.

Day 2: The Largest Mud City in the World

Visit to Chan Chan

On this excursion, we will visit Chan Chan, the capital of the great Chimú Empire. Once one of the largest cities in pre-Columbian America, we will explore its plazas and ceremonial sites in this impressive citadel, known for its high-relief murals featuring marine motifs.

Day 3: Cascas – The Wine Route

Nature Excursion to Cascas

Today we embark on a nature excursion to the town of Cascas, located two hours from Trujillo. We will visit the vineyards where local farmers cultivate grapes, explore the town’s viewpoint, and see the famous "Cristo de las Rocas," a unique sculpture naturally carved by nature depicting Christ.

Next, we will visit the mysterious "Tree of 1,000 Roots," an immense and ancient tree with roots exposed for public viewing. After lunch, we'll tour the renowned local wineries where residents produce both industrial and artisanal wines and piscos. You'll have the opportunity to taste various wines as well as grape-based products such as ice creams, jams, and yogurt.

Day 4: Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum

Early Start & Travel to Chiclayo

We begin early for a trip to the nearby city of Chiclayo, located about 211 kilometers from Trujillo (approximately 3 hours). Here, we will visit one of Peru’s finest museums — the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum, which houses the jewels and personal artifacts of the great Lord of Sipán, a prominent Mochica culture ruler.

His tomb was found intact and, due to its priceless value, is often compared to that of the Pharaoh Tutankhamun. After the museum visit, we will head to Pimentel beach for lunch.

Day 5: The Valley of the Pyramids, Tucume

On this excursion, we will visit Tucume, located 33 kilometers from Chiclayo, which holds the largest concentration of pyramids in all of Peru. There are about 26 pyramids built by the Sican civilization. We will also visit the onsite museum showcasing the archaeological finds discovered in this impressive area.

In the afternoon, we will return to the city of Trujillo.

Day 6: Return to Lima

At the scheduled time, we will transfer to the airport to fly back to Lima.
